The term has been used to signify honor to an individual, brand or organization. Respect is portrayed only if there is some level of attitude which accords consideration. So if you are respected know that there is an attitude that you possess that has been considered. There is a common say that respect is reciprocal. But wait if there is no attitude to be considered, should age alone be that “quantity” that should accord RESPECT?

If you possess any of these quality(s) mentioned above, or combination of any of the above, you will automatically begin to gain respect from different classes of people in life; young and old.

POWER: An individual with power be it political or spiritual (religious) entails much money which makes these individual being able to do and undo in the society, power attracts crowd and keeps these individual above his peers.
INFLUENCE: This attribute comes in when there is power, you become a public figure and whatever you are involved in becomes different, as everyone will talk about that. An individual with this quality is feared as his actions matters to a lot of people, large crowd are loyal to him/her.
AUTHORITY: When you are an authority in anything you are automatically respected for the great knowledge you have. An authority is respected because they can proffer solutions to pressing issues, authority is power.
