MY JOB AND I: A TRAP TO ESCAPE

The day you accepts your offer letter, begins the count of your contract of the job.

Job for salary is most times the end result of a school graduate. The individual is not to be blamed; i blame the educational system which is old and overdue for upgrade.

White collar jobs have blind folded us that we don’t care of the society and the future. We don’t mind to solve problems today that can create a better tomorrow. What we want are quick bucks in the pocket.

After 16 years of intensive learning, we still accept to sit in a “comfortable office” and receive penny as salaries for the efforts donated for 30 days of hard work. Running 5am to 8pm Monday to Friday.

How long do you think you can do this?

When you sign up for any job your contract with that company has a time frame, with an average of 35 years after which you will be dumped and fresh energies is injected and same cycle continues.

We seems to be happy when we land a job, of course we should but let’s see how it goes down the years.

MY JOB: 35 YEARS AS AN EMPLOYEE

your path to a destination only you can define. your job.

When you land a new job it usually takes one year or more to get settled.

You will have to; rent an apartment, furnish it to your test, get nice cloths, make new friends and know the town before all this are well done its almost 3years or more out of 35 years. Little or no savings.

From the 4^th to 5^th year you should start sending some money home for parents and the young once, this is more expenses added to your personal expenses. Thank god we got promoted in the job some increment will help #lolz…..

At your 7^th to 10^th year you start thinking about marriage and getting a car. Thank god you are working so you take a loan and get a car. Car here means an average car that’s not more than $10000 maximum.

Between the 10^th and 15^th year you finally get married after up the loans for some years. You now have an average of about 20 to 19 years in your job.

At 17^th or 18^th year your wife gives birth to her first child, wow that’s great. But remember it’s now more expenses. Definitely you start thinking of moving to a bigger house or start building your house. Finally at 25^th year you finish the house with like 2 kids or more which will attend school, need proper care, your wife needs to be maintained, your parents, your self also needs maintenance. Now the frustrations of life begins to build if not earlier.

Pressure begins to build up, and many questions roll through your mind. should i get another job?

You see with this kind of road map which is just an example you cant live life, you can only be surviving. Have a purpose once you get employed start investing in some other businesses if you don’t know which businesses to invest in make inquiries and be cautious of time. You cant work for ever in that firm you will be dumped one day. Plan your stay
